Thanks for creating such an inspiring blog! Your work is beautiful. I also have an 8X12 C&P. I am wondering if you could tell me where you get your magnesium plates made. I have a few resources, but haven’t tried them yet, and would love a recommendation! I also have 2 children (11 and 5) and am now finally feeling like I might have enough time and energy (i am being optimistic, I know) to ink up the press and actually do some printing!
Thanks so much in advance,
I’m curious as well to know where you get your magnesium plates made. I’ve been using polymer up until now.
Your work is beautiful by the way. I love how you brought the photograph to letterpress.
I get my magnesium plates made at Owosso Graphics in Michigan. Their turnaround time is very fast and the staff are really helpful. The web interface is a bit clunky, but it’s worth persisting because they’re a great company and the plates are excellent.
